April 20, 1781 Pennsylvania Thirty Shillings "Error" Note
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. April 20, 1781. Thirty Shillings. Error Spelling of the printer "Dnnlap." Choice Crisp Uncirculated.
Fr. PA-252. This very scarce Thirty Shillings "Error" denomination is the single finest we have offered. It is boldly printed on both its face and back. The special paper used in printing has a "PENSYL - VANIA" central watermark to fight counterfeiting. The paper is crisp having significant traces of original press text embossing still within having just a bit of handling. Nicely signed by John Miller in red ink, and Philip Boehm in dark brown. The "Error" Spelling of the printer's name "Dunlap" is mistakenly spelled "Dnnlap."
