Description: Rhode Island Currency
Impressive January 15, 1776 Rhode Island 20 Shilling Note
Colony of Rhode Island. January 15, 1776. Twenty Shillings. About Extremely Fine.
Fr. RI-226. A collectible example of this rare "1776" Revolutionary War issue note that is well centered, whole and complete with four full margins. The top edge has some well sealed small splits, a sealed long central internal tear and corner restoration plus some scattered pinholes. Regardless, its eye appeal is decent and is rare in this quality. All three signatures are clear and readable in red and brown including: John G. Wanton, James Congdon 3rd, and Welcome Arnold.
