Scarce "Thick Paper" Type May 4, 1778 Virginia Note
Treasury of Virginia. May 4, 1778. Ten Dollars. Printed Date. "Thick Paper". Corner repair. PMG graded Choice Very Fine-35.
Fr. VA-150b. "Thick Paper" examples are much rarer and far more valuable than those on the standard Thin laid paper. This excellent quality Revolutionary War note appears conservatively graded, having the premium eye appeal of Choice Extremely Fine. It is well centered with four full margins, having excellent printing and two strong red and brown signatures. Ex: Stack's Ford Collection Sale, Part 17, March 21, 2007, Lot 4440.
