Description: North Carolina Currency
Handsome "Rooster" April 2, 1776 North Carolina $8 Note
North Carolina. April 2, 1776. Halifax Issue. Eight Dollars. "Rooster" vignette. Choice Crisp Extremely Fine.
Fr. NC-165b. This wonderful "1776" dated Revolutionary War note is well centered and printed on clean crisp period laid paper. The "Rooster" vignette is particularly sharp and distinct in detail. The blank reverse has one contemporary name William Davis having once used this note in commerce and remains exceptionally clean with just some light tone with crisp looking paper. Overall, a superior quality note with a proud, handsome "Rooster."
