More About this Item

Description: North Carolina Currency
March 9, 1754 North Carolina Thirty Shillings "House"
North Carolina. March 9, 1754. Thirty Shillings. "House" vignette. Apparent centerfold and edge tears. PCGS graded Very Fine-30.
Fr. NC-81. Only 4,000 notes were issued, having been well printed off of ornately engraved original copper plates. This impressive looking note has deep black printed text and designs within four large margins which provide excellent centering. There are some typical period signatures on the blank reverse. All four signatures are written in brown and red and the paper is clean for its grade. Scarce being this nice.
