Description: COLT MODEL 1855 REVOLVING RIFLE AND BAYONET.
.56 caliber, 5-shot cylinder, 31 3/16" octagon-round barrel, Colt markings on top strap, cylinder, and left side of frame, full walnut stock. S/n 1550. Together with a saber bayonet with ribbed brass hilt and slightly curved blade. Retains its original leather and brass scabbard. 24"l.

Condition Report: Some surface rust, a few chips and dings to the stock, cleaning rod attachment present.

Blade with pitting and surface rust, hilt retains traces of red, scabbard complete, but with some deterioration of the leather. Our consignor (the Hallock family) indicates that all of their guns are in working order, but we cannot guarantee their functionality.
