Description: serial #153629, 38 Colt, 4 1/2" barrel with a bright excellent bore. This is a beautiful, high condition Colt revolver. The barrel and ejector rod housing retain about 93% original finish with most loss being on outer front edge of ejector rod housing and on left side of barrel mostly at muzzle. The cylinder retains about 90% original blue finish with most loss coming on the edges. The frame retains 95% original color case-hardened finish which remains quite vivid. The gripstraps retain 80% bright original blue with loss being on backstrap where finish is thinning evenly. The checkered hard rubber grips rate excellent with most wear being on lower section of right panel. Revolver comes with a factory letter confirming the configuration and showing shipment to Continental Tobacco Co. in New York, for Thor Tag Co. in Omaha, NE on October 14, 1904. Revolver is functionally excellent. Overall a very fine Lightning with lots of strong finish remaining. (15506-55) {C&R}
