Description: serial #348455, 38-40, 7 1/2" barrel with an excellent bore. This 1926 production revolver remains in a wonderful state of preservation. The barrel and ejector rod housing retain 80% original finish with most loss being on left side of barrel where the finish has thinned and blended with a pleasing smooth brown patina. The cylinder retains about 93% original blue with some small, light patches of pitting along only one chamber. The grip frame retains 95% original blue finish. The frame and hammer retain 95% strong, bright original color case-hardened finish. The checkered hard rubber grips rate excellent with no chips and sharp checkering. The accompanying factory letter confirms the configuration and shows shipment to Paxton and Gallagher Co., in Omaha, NE on May 30, 1926. An investment grade, high condition Colt. (15506-22) {C&R}
