Description: Company School, circa 1820, Patna, Sewak Ram, or follower of, a set of nine Indian gouaches, including four night-time scenes, depicting Muslim and Hindu festivals, rituals and processions, including muharram and sati and a harem scene; another smaller of a nautch; and two photographs of Sir Baber Shumsher Jang Bahadur Rana and a the third photograph is of his wife (13) Provenance: Pen Moel, near Chepstow. Presented to the vendor's grandfather, Sir Holburt Jacob Waring, 1st Bart., by Sir Baber Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana,1888-1960, second son of Maharaja Chandra Shamsher Rana, hereditary Prime Minister of Nepal.
