January 14, 1779 Continental Notes Interesting Study Pair
Continental Currency. January 14, 1779. Two (2) Notes. Both $60. One Genuine and One Contemporary Counterfeit. Choice EF & Choice Crisp Uncirculated.
Fr. CC-99 & 99CFT. The British Counterfeit is type 1 for the issue as listed in Newman having the i in "receive" being to the left, and is boldly printed bright and vivid grading Choice Crisp Uncirculated. The other note is genuine and is very crisp but handled with signs of circulation thus grading Extremely Fine. (2 notes).
