Description: (CYANOTYPES) reverend h.a. handel/span
Album titled "Views of Meeker," with nearly 250 fascinating, detailed cyanotypes in rich blue depicting the streets, landscape, inhabitants, and architecture of Meeker, Colorado, all taken by Reverend H.A. Handel. Including 2 images depicting Theodore Roosevelt, more than 10 elegant photograms of flora and fauna (and one spiderweb), Native Americans, self-portraits, and elaborate portraits of the townspeople. Cyanotypes, sizes ranging from approximately 7x9 to 7 1/2x16 3/4 inches (one two-part panorama) and most 7 1/2x9 1/2 inches (17.8x22.9 to 19.1x42.5 and 19.1x24.1 cm.), sheet size 10x13 1/2 inches, in various shapes; many with Handel's credit, in the negative. Small oblong folio, covers detached and backstrip perished. Circa 1900
