PROVENANCE: Gift of David and Marussia Burliuk to Saida and Aube Tzerko; Private collection, U.S.A. Aube Tzerko, born in Canada in 1907, was an influential classical pianist. He studied with Artur Schnabel in Berlin in the 1930s, and became a widely renowned concert pianist, touring the world extensively, before accepting the post of Head of the Piano Department at UCLA until his retirement in 1992.
