Derbyshire Regiment (Sherwood Foresters) Victorian Officer's waist belt clasp circa 1881-1901. A good silver and gilt example of special pattern. On a round burnished gilt plate, a crowned Maltese cross in silver mounted with gilt oak wreath and scroll 'Sherwood' 'Foresters' with 'Derbyshire' below the wreath. To the centre, a silver stag set on blue translucent enamel ground. Oak leaf ends. Some service wear otherwise GC . (Ryan 212)
