Description: DESIGNER UNKNOWN HAMBURG - AMERIKA LINIE / [DEUTSCHLAND]. Circa 1900.
38x26 3/4 inches, 96 1/2x68 cm. Muhlmeister & Johler, Hamburg.
Condition B+: minor restored losses at edges; repaired tears at edges, some into text and image; minor creases in margins and image. Framed.
The Deutschland was the first four-funnel vessel built for the Hamburg-America Line. She served in a transatlantic capacity from 1900, when she was launched, until 1910 when she was taken off that route and dedicated as a cruise ship.
