Prof. Dr. Franz Mairinger,Vorstand em. des Instituts für Farbenlehre und Farbenchemie an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Wien, hat das Gemälde geprüft und als original aus dem 16. Jahrhundert stammend befunden.
