Looking for the realized and estimated price?

Description: This is a diminutive dovetailed copper tea kettle circa 1800s. The fine dovetailing on the antique teapot is shown on the back and the bottom of the pot and the seams are brazed (using molten brass like glue) for a perfect seam (see photos). Dovetailing requires extraordinary skill acquired through long, dedicated practice. The copper tea kettle has riveted brass extensions extending a rolled copper grip handle. There is a button finial on the lidded top. The copper tea kettle pours with a nice strong stream and is still usable today. There is a brass rim that circles the opening of the teapot. The inside is tin lined. The entire body is made of copper with a curved goose-neck pouring spout.

Condition Report: Age appropriate wear and patina with an early repair on the bottom.

Dimensions: 8 inches long, 8 inches high, and 5 inches wide.

Date: 1800s
