Description: A lovely Early Bronze Age I Line Group amphoriskos, Holy Land, c. 3100 2900 BC, with round body, short neck and flared mouth, two small pierced loop handles on the shoulders. The entire vessel is decorated with panels of crisscrossing lines in vibrant orange-brown slip. H: 4 3/5 in (11.7cm). A well-preserved example of a well-documented Early Bronze Age pottery type from the Holy Land. Ex New York private estate.
