EDGAR DEGAS (FRENCH 1834-1917)
DANSEUSE RAJUSTANT L'EPAULETTE DE SON CORSAGE
Signed with the studio stamp, charcoal on buff paper
58cm x 45cm (22.75in x 17.75in) to be sold with letters and receipts pertaining to the provenance of the picture
Laid down on card.
There is a dappled effect to the charcoal throughout, as visible in the illustration, perhaps the result of a fixative having being used in the past.
2 tiny pinpricks around the figure's head that appear to have been repaired.
Slight time-staining but paper otherwise in largely good condition - slight undulations but no creases, tears or foxing.
Attractive carved wooden frame.
