Edward Onslow Ford (1852-1901)
After his studies of painting and modelling in Antwerp and Munich Edward Onslow Ford returned back to England, where he was working as a sculptor. Besides monuments and memorial works he made numerous busts of famous personalities and statuettes, which inherited a playfulness character. His most known statues are Folly, The Singer or Applause. Ford was the first British sculptor, who published small replicas of his statues. (ala)
