Description: An Egyptian blue faience reis or overseer ushabti, 3rd Intermediate Period, 21st Dynasty, c. 1075 - 945 BC, wearing characteristic kilt and rectangular apron of everyday life, tripartite wig with seshed head band. Right arm is bent across the waist and holds a whip, left arm pendant at side, face rounded with nose and lips present, eyes detailed in black, single vertical column of hieroglyphic text down front, continuing do lower portion of back. H: 3 3/8 in (8.6 cm). Nice blue color. Ex New Jersey estate.
