Description: An Egyptian faience ushabti with black glaze, Late Period, c. 664 30 BC, depicted mummiform and standing on integral base, wearing tripartite wig and false beard, arms folded at chest, hands holding a pick and hoe, bag over left shoulder, vertical plinth down back. Glaze now a glossy black, perhaps from fire in the tomb. H: 4 ½ in (11.4cm). Ex collection of Prof. Alan Pasch, Maryland.
