Description: New Kingdom, 1550-1070 BC. A carved hardstone amuletic pendant of the goddess Mut wearing the double crown, with dorsal pillar pierced at the shoulders. Cf. Andrews, C. Amulets of Ancient Egypt, London, 1994, item 18(c) fore type. 1.52 grams, 28mm (1"). Acquired on the London art market prior to 1980.
