Description: An Egyptian wooden foot from statue, Middle Kingdom, c. 2061 1690 BC, with well-carved digits and mounting tang for attachment to the rest of the foot, two vertical holes for wood dowels for attachment to some kind of base. H: 3 ¾ in (9.6cm). Nicely preserved with a lovely dark glossy patina. Old custom wood base. Ex collection of William Major Tedder.
