Description: Chinese embroidered silk panel depicting the God of Longevity from the19th Century. It is red ground and is bordered in black silk. It depicts the god with an attendant. He is seen holding a staff with a dragon head with scrolls tied to it. There is a deer below, and bats flying throughout the scene. The noses of the god and attendant are raised, giving a three dimensional aspect to the work. The reverse side is tan linen. Dimensions are 82 inches long by 33 inches wide.
