EMILE ALBERT GRUPPE (American, 1896-1978) A BUSY DOCK. Oil on canvas harbor view shows a man in gold bib overalls working in a green boat. Another man works next to dock hoisting the catch to another man at railing. A large fishing trawler is seen with rowboat beside at another dock. Several sails can be seen through the mist beyond. Signed lower left. Housed in its original carved and silver gilt frame. A nice early example of this artist's work. SIZE: 24" x 20". CONDITION: Very good. 9-93947 (9,000-12,000)
