Description: Monogrammed ,E R' verso lower left."The present work is not a fragment in the traditional sense of the word, but a common pictorial form in Emy Roeder's work since 1918, which was then cast in 1962 in Cairenic style as a ‚remembrance of Tripoli'; it is the climax of this pictorial form." (Friedrich Gerke, Emy Roeder, Wiesbaden 1963, p. 323)

Condition Report: Fine bownish patina with a greenish shimmer.INCLUDED: DREI LIEGENDE SCHAFE (RUHENDES MUTTERSCHAF MIT ZWEI LÄMMERN). 1934. Black chalk drawing on light card. 25 x 27 cm. Monogrammed and dated 'E R 34' lower left. Framed under glass. - Minimally browned with very faint light-stain.
