Description: SERIAL #: 124756 DATE OF MANF: 1887 DESIGN: Single action with 6-shot cylinder. 4-3/4” barrel. MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Nickel plated steel. Checkered black rubber grip panels with the rearing colt at the top. FEATURES: Blade front sight. Groove rear sight. Knurled spur hammer. Decorative motif and border engraving on the barrel, frame, ejector rod housing, trigger guard, cylinder, loading gate, Top tang and back strap, and bottom grip strap. This revolver is accompanied by a Colt Factory Letter, dated July 17, 2009. It was delivered to the E.C. Meacham Arms Company in St. Louis, Missouri on June 13, 1888. The factory letter does not indicate that this gun left the factory as an engraved revolver. It possibly was sent back by the E.C. Meacham Arms company to be engraved. CONDITION: Fine. Consistent wearing to the plated surfaces. Some areas of spotty discoloration to the barrel and hammer. Significant wearing to the checkering on the grip panels.
