Description: ESTIENNE Charles. Von dem Feldbau. Strasbourg, Bernhard Jobin, 1580; in-folio de [6] ff., 643-[35] pp., vélin de l’époque estampé sur ais de bois biseautés, dos à nerfs, fermoirs métalliques.


Notes: Seconde édition en caractères gothiques de la traduction allemande – la première parut l’année précédente – du traité d’agriculture par Charles Estienne, considéré comme une véritable encyclopédie de la campagne.
Elle est ornée d’un titre frontispice gravé en noir et rouge, d’un portrait à pleine page du traducteur allemand Melchior Sebisch et de 35 bois gravés dans le texte, de belle taille pour la plupart. L’ouvrage inclut un traité de Jean de Clamorgan, La chasse du loup, illustré de vignettes figurant des scènes de chasse. Marque de l’imprimeur en fin de volume.
Déchirure marginale p.467, galeries de ver marginales aux derniers ff., mouillures et quelques taches qui n’affectent pas gravement le volume, départ de fente à une charnière, éraflure au dos.

In the event of a payment by cheque or bank transfer, delivery of the goods may be deferred until such time as the payment has cleared.

Payment
• Payment must be made immediately after the sale. If the successful bidder did not register before the sale, he/she must provide proof of identity and bank references. Payments may be made by one of the following methods:

- In cash in euros: for Individual European Union resident, and for all professionals, to an equal or lower amount of €1 000.

- Certified banker's draft in euros subject to the presentation of valid proof identity.
Cheques drawn on a foreign bank will not be accepted.
