A group of eight figure and drapery studies
one signed with monogram and dated 'EP 1883' (centre right)
one pencil, seven coloured chalks, six on black paper, one on brown paper, unframed
24 7/8 x 18¼ in. (63.3 x 46.4 cm.); and smaller
eight in the lot (8)

The pencil drawing of the young girl dated 1883 depicts Jane Hales, a model and sometimes maid for the de Morgans, she posed for important oils such as Love's Passing, 1883-4, The Dryad, 1884-5 and The Sea Maidens, 1885-6 (all De Morgan Foundation).
