Provenance: Purchased from the Artist by his New York City dealer Howard Cosby Alley (1876-1947). Alley was a partner in the New York City art firm of Alley and Trask (Trask was the head of the PAFA who left academia to make money by using his contacts to gather a stable of artists). By descent to his granddaughter; Property of The Boston Art Club.

Other Notes: Stretcher marked with the stamp of A. H. Abbott & Co., Chicago, Illinois.
