Description: WWI DWM artillery Luger in exceptionally good condition, dated 1917, with matching numbered parts. top of chamber dated 1917 with "DWM" monogram on front toggle. Right side marked with three crown over letter proof marks, and Imperial Eagle proof, with additional eagle proof on barrel. Marked "GESICHERT" under safety. Tangent rear sight, and fixed front sight. Bore is bright and clean, and bluing is 95%, with minor holster wear to muzzle, and edge wear to protruding surfaces. Grips are excellent, with sharp checkering. Magazine shows faint proof mark on wood base. Gun is accompanied by holster, complete with strap, tool, and cleaning rod. Holster is maker marked J. E. Cludewig, Berlin, 1916, and unit stamped inside clamshell flap. Also included is WWII period board stock, with serial number not matching gun, but otherwise correct. Overall excellent and desirable example of a WWI Artillery Luger with accoutrements. Caliber: 9MM Serial #: 5131
