Items are sold "AS IS", "WHERE IS" and neither Philadelphia Auction International(PAI) Auctioneers nor the consignor makes any warranties or representations of any kind or nature with respect to property or its value, and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of description, genuineness, attribution, provenance, authenticity, authorship, completeness, condition of property or estimate of value. We do not guarantee authorship or signatures of items. All measurements are approximate.
Bidding is available by live in-house bidding and absentee. Arrangements for absentee bidding can be made by completing and submitting the Absentee Bid Form by 5:00 pm the day prior to sale day. This form can be obtained by emailing, calling our office or by filling out the online form on paiauction.com or auctionzip.com website. All bids must be secured with a credit card number. All absentee bids will be executed in a fair, competitive and confidential manner. While every effort is made to execute and honor absentee bids, Philadelphia Auction International is not responsible for failure to execute a bid and is not liable for any losses incurred as a result of failure to execute absentee bids. In case of identical bids, the first bid received will take precedence. Where appropriate, written bids will be rounded down to the nearest amount consistent with the auctioneer's bidding increments. Live internet bidding is available during the auction. Philadelphia Auction International cannot be held liable for live internet bids that are not sent, received, or executed by the administrator. If you are bidding live, real-time on-line, please bid quickly because there is a time delay in receiving these live bids.

Any condition statement is given as a courtesy to a client; it is only an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact. Philadelphia Auction International shall have no responsibility for any error or omission. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. The auctioneer has the right to reject any bid, to advance the bidding at this absolute discretion and in the event of any dispute between bidders, the auctioneer shall have the sole and final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the article in dispute. If any dispute arises after sale, the Philadelphia Auction International's sale record shall be conclusive in all respects.
A 20% buyer's premium is added to purchase price of every item sold at the auction house. Purchaser must pay 8% PA sales tax on total purchase price, including premium unless appropriate exemption form is filed. Internet buyers pay 23% buyer's premium. Lots may have reserves or minimum selling prices. This confidential figure is set by consignor & Philadelphia Auction International. Philadelphia Auction International will exercise all reserve bids. The record of sale kept by the auction house is final in any dispute. Digital recordings of the sale will be used for confirmation.
All items purchased in person must be paid for on sale day. All items purchased via absentee bid must be paid for within five business days of sale date. If a buyer fails to contact Philadelphia Auction International within 5 business days following the sale, the credit card used to secure the bid will be charged the amount of the invoice. We accept cash (In House Only), major credit cards (Master and Visa) or debit cards.
Item ownership is conveyed immediately following the fall of the auctioneer's hammer. While we try to handle and store all items with great care, Philadelphia Auction International will have no liability for any loss or damage to an item after the hammer has fallen. Bad checks or non-payment of purchases will be prosecuted by Philadelphia Auction International the fullest extent permissible by law and the names of offenders will be announced to the public and to other auction firms. Buyer pays actual shipping costs, plus handling charges. The purchaser agrees purchases will be removed within 3 days of sale. The auction house items may be resold if terms for removal are not met. A minimum storage fee of $5 per day, not to exceed $20 per month will be charged to buyers & consignors for items left at our auction house. As the winning bidder, it may be the responsibility of the buyer to arrange and pay for packing and shipping for large items. This means the buyer must contact a company (or utilize one of our recommended shippers) to pick up the item(s) from Philadelphia Auction International pack the item(s), and ship the item(s) to the buyer.
