Notes: Crash explained how he creates his designs on Eric's guitars: First, basically I prime the Fender body in flat white Krylon spray paint for a uniform undercoat. I usually give it quite a few coats. Then the process for painting is a bit confusing. I start with the smaller details first, then build up to the larger areas. Every place that is painted has more than 2 or 3 coats. The idea is to break the surface of the smooth wood. Otherwise it would look like a simple paint job. You can actually feel the grooves of the surfaces with your fingers, even after thorough clear coating has been done...

Born in 1961 in New York City, 'Crash' has been described as a true pioneer of the Graffiti art movement. Subway cars, basketball courts and walls of buildings in run down neighborhoods were his canvases. In the words of one biographer ...Using the IRT subway system as his launching pad, Crash established a visual link between the underground street life and the world above... His works are now exhibited and collected by private and public collections throughout the world.

This guitar was a collaboration between two master builders at Fender, Todd Krause and Mark Kendrick.
