Description: Feng ZongLian (Chinese, 1918-2001), watercolor ink on paper laid to silk. Grisaille hand painting depicted bodhisattva figure of Avalokiteshvara in manifestation of GuanYin, wearing ornate headdress and attractive jewelry, standing silhouette upon lotus throne, with aura chakra nimbus surrounding the body. The painting shows very fine brush strokes and drawing lines expressing the graceful and passionate GuanYin. Signed on lower left, followed with artist's signature and iron-red seal. Matted on creme-teal silk border.
