Fine pair of George III satinwood, tulipwood crossbanded and marquetry inlaid knife boxes
The hinged sloping lids centered by a conch shell, opening to a fitted interior, the underside of the lids inlaid to show a conch shell within featherbanded border, the fronts inlaid to simulate pilasters, original silver escutcheon and pull, raised on shaped bracket feet.
H: 15 1/4, W: 9 1/4, D: 11 in.
