FINE REGENCY ROSEWOOD AND SATINWOOD DRUM LIBRARY TABLE, IN THE MANNER OF GEORGE SMITH
the circular top with satinwood crossbanding over a frieze with four real and four dummy drawers divided by gilt bronze figural mounts, on a square pedestal support and cruciform platform continuing to sabre legs ending in brass hairy paw caps and castors
122cm diameter, 72cm high
- in very good restored condition
- the top has some sun bleaching and is lighter on one side
- mahogany drawer linings
- in our opinion the mounts are most likely later (probably Edwardian) embellishments with the exception of the the brass band around the frieze, and lion paw caps and castors
- the mounts are gilt white metal
- old marks, light scratches and scuffs consistent with age and use
