FIRST WORLD WAR GALLANTRY PAIR (Distinguished Service Order, and Military Cross and Bar) to Lieutenant (acting Major) Herbert Hobday, Royal Field Artillery, accompanied by the following documents: Hobday's DSO Scroll signed by King George V and Alfred Lord Milner, Secretary of State for War, dated 3rd June 1918; A group photograph of the officers of 126th Brigade RFA showing Hobday; Extracts from the Supplement to the London Gazette - citation for the award of the MC dated 25th August 1917, award of the DSO dated 3rd June 1918, and citation for the bar to the MC dated 16th September 1918; Copy of the Medal Index card showing his entitlement to 1914-5 Star, British war Medal and Victory Medal. The medals are in good condition, the enamel is undamaged and the ribbons and suspension bars are original. Please note that the central crown on the DSO is loose. Est. R20,000 - 30,000
