Description: Oil on copper stamped with maker's mark KW, verso 24 x 20cm (9 1/2 x 7 7/8in.) In a faux-tortoiseshell frame Together with a painted gilt-wood tondo of a saint (cracked) Possibly 17th century 12cm (4 3/4in.) diameter Mounted on a velvet lined wood base (2) The copper plate maker's mark was in use by artists in Antwerp from the late 1560s until the 1640s. We are grateful to Jørgen Wadum for his assistance in cataloguing this lot.
