Description: SERIAL #: 32089 DESIGN: Belgian made hammerless top lever side by side. 26" barrels with extractors. Double triggers. MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Blued Siemens Martin steel barrels. Case hardened receiver. Extremely fine checkered wood semi pistol grip stock and forearm. FEATURES: Bead front sight. Knurled top lever. Engraved tang safety. Both sides of receiver stamped "A. FRANCOTTE MAKER & PATENTEE / LIEGE BELGIUM". The receiver, top lever, trigger guard, tang safety, and forearm end pieces are intricately engraved in swirling motifs, leaves, and other decorative patterns. Gold inlay at rib extension. Left rear of barrel is marked "U.S. AGENTS, NEW-YORK". Right rear of barrel is marked "VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD". Front of butt stock on both sides is also checkered within a shield shaped border. Serrated black plastic butt plate. 13-3/8" length of pull to the rear trigger. 14-1/4" length of pull to the front trigger. CONDITION: Very good. Approximately 80% of the finish remains on blued components. Light scratches, nicks, and patchy loss of bluing to metal surfaces. Spotty pitting on the trigger guard. Case colors are faintly visible. Bores are very good. Light scratches, scrapes, and dents to stock and forearm. Little wear to the intricate checkering pattern on the wrist and forearm.
