Description: French Boulle Inlaid Mantle Clock. Circa 1860. 8 in. fancy gilt brass dial, has a relief decorated center and black Roman hour numerals on white porcelain inserts, incised outer numbers for minutes, dial signed F. Lesage, Paris, has fancy blued hands. Typical square brass, spring driven, 30 day, French movement with Brocot escapement, gilt brass pendulum with maidens head, half hour strike on a steel bell at the top of the case. French boulle case with swirling brass inlays inside & out with fancy gilt bronze mounts & borders, figure of a woman seated beside an egret with book & oil lamp in her hands and large bronze figure of a winged cherub on a globe. In good running condition. 36 in. high x 16 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
