French Renaissance Revival Gilt Brass Mounted Tobacco Horn with a Tripod Griffin Stand The organic horn fashioned in the Renaissance style, fitted with an applied brass collar and cartouche medallion mounts, a goat head form handle, finely cast strapwork with acanthus leaves, terminating in a boar's head mount, raised on a tripod griffin form platform base. Circa 1900 Length of horn 21 inches (51 cm); height of Griffin 6 inches (16 cm)
