Description: The ornate piece consisting of a flat silver lid with lion knop covering the vermeil and silver urn-form body with applied anthemion and cornucopia-form handles centering medallions of flower-laden urns on bud-form bases, flanked by cranes eating the spilling blooms, and with further foliage and scrolls, perched on a pedestal of four openwork dolphins, further mounted on a square base with ball feet, two sides of the base with the French Standard or Title and Guarantee marks used between 1819-1838, being the left-facing profile of a bearded Classical man, the right-facing profile of a woman in a veil. 6" H. Weight approximately 8 troy ounces.
