French Walnut Buffet a Deux Corps 17th Century
In two parts, the upper section with molded cornice above a rectangular case fitted with a frieze with two seraphs' heads interspersed with corbels, over the fielded paneled cupboard doors centered by paterae, flanked by stiles with roundels and foliage, the projecting lower section with similarly carved frieze drawers and a pair of cupboard doors, raised on a molded plinth ending in bun front feet. Height 70 1/2 inches (1.79 m), width 52 inches (1.32 m), depth 23 inches (58.4 cm).
With previous restorations, good color, overall good condition, age cracks and losses commensurate with age, age cracks to sides, wood worm to panels and now with inpainting, replacements to moldings
