Condition/Details: Bound in full leather with raised bands and bright gilt lettering and decorative designs, this volume is a scarce autographed first edition of this work of science fiction by Gentry Lee (b. 1942), the chief engineer for the Planetary Flight Systems Directorate at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and noted science fiction writer. This is copy number 52 of 1075. This volume has a frontispiece illustration by Debbie Hughes. Laid in are a certificate of authenticity (signed and dated by Gentry Lee), an Easton Press ex libris sticker, and a small card offering "A Note about the Tranquility Wars." The volume is in excellent condition, and is solidly bound with clean pages with gilt edges and silk endpapers. The book measures approximately 6 1/2" x 9 1/2" and contains 481 pages.
