George II Green Japanned and Partial Gilt Longcase Clock
The movement signed Wm Morgan, London, the 11 1/4 silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, matte center and pierced spandrels, the two-train five-pillar movement with anchor escapement, two weights and a pendulum, the hood with a glazed door and engaged pilasters above a trunk with a solid door over a molded base. Height 6 feet 5 1/2 inches (1.97 m), width 19 inches (48.3 cm), depth 10 inches (25.4 cm).

Overall good restored condition, painted and partial gilt decoration later, with losses and lifting, movement associated, case door with shrinkage, warped and bowing, replaced 3 inch x 1/2 inch panel to left of lock, edge of door next to lock with a 4 inch loss, age crack to base from top to bottom, Doyle does not guarantee the movement of a clock, and strongly recommends interested bidders to consult with a clock restorer
