Description: George II style carved mahogany piano bench

mid 20th century

The needlepoint upholstered seat depicting a pair of lovebirds in a fruiting tree, raised on four cabriole legs with carved knees terminating in ball-and-claw feet; the underside with canvas Dennison Mfg. Co. label affixed with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Registry stamp, inventory number 5755, and handwritten note, "Solid Mahogany Hand Carved/New Hair & [indistinct]."

H: 16 1/2, W: 34 1/2, D: 15 1/2 in.
