George III Giltwood and Verre Eglomise Overmantel Mirror
Late 18th century
The rectangular mirror plate surmounted by an outspread winged phoenix with chains suspended from its mouth and a rectangular panel depicting a pastoral scene, above a coved cornice with flaming urn finials above engaged pilasters. Height 41 inches (1.04 m), width 45 inches (1.14 m).
