Description: GEORGE III MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK BY JOSHUA HARROCKS, LANCASTER
MID 18TH CENTURY
the broken pediment with a brass finial and dentil moulded cornice over an arched door flanked by columns, the brass and silvered dial with Roman and Arabic chapters, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, two winding holes and painted moon phase dial, pierced brass spandrels, the trunk with a ogee shaped door flanked by stop-fluted columns, on a plinth base raised on ogee bracket feet
48cm wide, 231cm high, 26cm deep

Condition Report: Original seat board which does sit nicely.
Case and movement have the appearance of having been professionaly restored within the last 20 years.
Some Greek key moulding is missing to frieze.
We have weights and pendulum.
Movement and dial appear original.
Old marks and scratches.
