Description: George III Style Painted Satinwood and Brass Mounted Secretaire
The rectangular superstructure with three-quarter pierced gallery, above a fall front opening to a leather lined writing surface and an interior fitted with five long drawers and pigeonholes, the projecting lower section with concave sides and mounted with adjustable two-light candle holders headed by urn-form finials, over a frieze drawer, raised on tapering square legs ending in spade feet, decorated allover with Neoclassical motifs including floral swags, musical trophies, urns and acanthus leaves. Height 54 inches (1.37 m), width 36 inches (91.5 cm), depth 18 inches (45.8 cm).

Condition Report: Overall good restored condition, with minor losses and restorations to veneers, including corners of top edge, age crack to flame veneered panel of fall front and now with inpainting, minor age cracks to concave sides, rubbing to brass mounts, losses to molding of left front leg
