George IV Brass Mounted Hardwood and Ebony Writing Table
The leather lined rectangular top with rounded corners, above opposing frieze drawers, the sides also fitted with drawers, all locked and lacking Bramah lock keys, the turned standard raised on downswept legs with ebonized reeded decoration, ending in box casters. Height 30 1/2 inches (77.5 cm), width 47 1/2 inches (1.20 m), depth 33 1/4 inches (84.5 cm).
With previous restorations, later leather top with craquelure, scuffs, scratches and stains, scratches to brass mounts throughout, drawers fitted with Bramah locks and now lacking keys so unable to open, lifting to brass inlay of legs, rubbing to legs and feet
